Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What's the difference between Woodbyne Fitness Clinic and a typical gym or fitness centre?

A. Woodbyne Fitness Clinic caters for a limited number of clients providing the required facilities and equipment, but additionally the direction, the support, and most importantly the structure to your training to ensure that you make the most of the valuable time you are prepared to devote to your fitness and well being.

Q. Do I have to be a member to use the gym ?

A. We do not offer a pay-as-you-go facility so you do have to join the gym to use the gym facilities.
However, you do NOT have to be a member of the gym to enlist on any of the Fitness Training courses that we run. 


Q. Why are you not open at weekends ?

A. Unfortunately, planning permission restrictions prevent us from opening the gym at weekends, although we do organise a group Road Cycling ride for all members most Sunday mornings. 

Q. Can I come and have a look around?

A. Of course you can. Please phone 01844 275829 and let us know when would be convenient for you and we'll make sure someone is free to spend some time with you.

Q. Are there discounts for multiple memberships?

A. Yes. We offer couples membership at £100 per month,. The normal Adult Membership charge is £60.00 per month.

Q. What's involved in the Initial Health and Fitness Assessment

A. Please have no worries regarding this. This is not a test, but a chance to document any relevant medical history, and provide an evaluation of your current level of well-being. You will be required to provide your personal details, provide details of any relevant medical history and undergo a Blood Pressure Test, and simple Lung Function Test.

Q. How much time do I need to devote to a successful exercise regime?

A. This really depends on your current fitness level, your lifestyle and your goals. In most cases two to three hours per week is sufficient, but each case is different. Any regular exercise will be of some benefit. Why not arrange a free consultation where we can discuss your individual case.
